What happens when you leave your car windows open on a rainy night?
You get wet upholstery and pretty sad car in the morning.
Thats exactly the state my car is in.. First time in the so many years that I have driven around. Blleaargh!

  6. Thats very bad.Reminds of the time when i slept by the window during the rains only to wake up in the middle of the night wet as a fish due the direction of the breeze which left me with one super wet bed and a furious mother who had warned me to close the windows.

  10. Sorry to know that, Chinmayi! I wish you should take care of the seats before they get fungus inside the filling material PUF (poly urethane foam). Good Luck!

  11. Hey Chinmayi,

If the seat area that got wet is not much, then the best way is to blow-dry it. This you can do by using a vacuum cleaner and attaching the suction pipe to the other end where hot comes out from - this will dry out the seats as well as the mat - If you feel too lazy to do it yourselves, then ask a mechanic to unbolt the seats, dry them and bolt them again (this only if you have other means of transportation!!!)

PS: This is just for your info - dont have to publish if you feel unnecessary.

  12. You don't want mold to form and cause allergies and respiratory issues. It is a big issue in extreme cold places since most livable spaces are enclosed. When water spill occurs on the carpet, we run a fan over night or blow hot air using a hair dryer. In Chennai, if you usually leave the car windows open while driving, mold won't form, but the pollution might get you. Looks like those are the two bad options on hand.

  14. Maybe its time you tot abt getting a car shed. it would provide the shade from the rain and as well as the sun during the day.
then don bother abt the window being closed or not?
