A new year

Starts tomorrow. A lot of people have been saying that this year shall be good, harbinger of good times and positivity. For everyone's sake, especially for those who say kali muththi pochu a lot, I wish it is the start of better times.

Personally, the past few months, though peppered with some good times here and there, have mostly been tough and in some instances harrowing. Perhaps my mom and I took some special boon to meet some ridiculous people and to land ourselves in situations so bizarre that most people would gawk to hear our accounts. But as a friend's dad told me some experiences, including the one where landlord asks me to marry his son and convert to his religion, are learning experiences. These are times we think enough of learning experiences lord.

Tomorrow signals a new beginning and I look forward once again with hope. After all as somebody said, when the mind says give up, it is hope that whispers, "try again".

But I do count my blessings. I have a great mom, I am healthy. Everything else is perhaps a matter of time. I am grateful for everything that has come my way, the lovely people who are with us at all times... Actually the recent past has shown us people who genuinely care. And that is priceless.

To you, the reader, I wish you good health. Everything else can be built if you are in prime health. I wish you prosperity. I wish you as much money as you would like. I wish you travel that enriches your being. I wish you lovely friends. I wish you a lovely, united family. I wish you love. I wish you peace and I wish you joy and contentment.

God bless. If you are an Atheist, I wish you be engulfed in positivity.

Tamizh puththaandu vaazhthukkal. And a happy Vishu.
