My New Year's Gift

This link was given by a good samaritan. I was slightly upset that I was unable to take any pictures of the show with Rahman ji at Karaikal. And usually I have no records of the shows/programmes/concerts that I have given basically because it was not possible. The pictures are uploaded here

I chanced upon a video of Mr. Rahman's concert on NDTV. Looked real windy there. How was the feeling? Didn't the microphones pick up the noise? btw, your intro to "telephone manipol" was good(tht's all i gottu hear) and of course, "oru deivam thandha poovae". Was it a ticketed one?

bharat: we performed by the beach.. hence it was highly windy.. why the mic didnt pick it up .. must be cos of the ingenuity of the audio engineer.. and not ticketed.. it was in karaikkal.. some remote village.. there was no publicity for that either.. all the village folk came there through word of mouth

Yeah, I appreciate the patience of A R R sir and all his team including you for making those local people smile and dance to the tunes. I can see the excitement in their faces. They enjoyed the show for sure and I can see that. A R R sir is definitely a genius and all the singers are at their best! Good Luck for your projects in 2006.

Got to see the pre-concert interview with Mr. Rahman. Wonderful gesture that by all u guys. He sounded more excited than the crowd itself when he asked them "epdi irukkeenga? First class aa?" Had an inexplicable feeling that felt very very nice though. I also noticed that the crowd couldn't relate to it at all wen Mr. Hariharan started with "Chanda Re ", but burst into roars when he went "Vennilavae" Same with Blaazes "Baba" too. On the whole, gesture appreciated.
