If you are a singer, and would like to work with me, please leave a comment and we will get back to you. Of course, it will be convenient if you are based in Chennai. We would also require you to send us your voice samples by EMail.

It's 3.35 am and all this night I have been thinking about why Chinamyee decided to post this on her Blog!

Obviously, you should have a huge list of tested fresh singers.

I can hear somebody murmuring, "mind your own business". Ok, done :)

Hey Chinmayee,

What I'm about to say is completely irrelevant to your request for male singers. At the moment I'm listening to Aaha Kaapi Club. At Toronto, its 8:30 PM when its 7:00 AM in India. Aaha Kaapi Club is my background music while I'm doing homework. I love the topics that you come up with as they are very interesting and sometimes even deals with current social issues. I also love how you deal with bizzarre callers. What made me write this post was; you had just talked about the 7 year old girl named 'Gladis' (I think) that was hit by her teacher and hurt very badly. And then you starting talking about the 14 year old female that was about to suicide...and I was thinking that you chose this day to talk about all the bad things that happen in schools until your story turned around and ended positively. I thought it was very nice thing to show that one person cannot be an example for everyone else! In most of the western countries, teachers are forbidden to hit the students unless it is to defend themselves. Actually, even parents are put into jail for physically abusing their children. Students spend more time at school then they do at home. If they are mistreated at school, they are going to dread learning. Instilling fear into students is not the only way to teach them discipline, its actually the worst way. Maybe through Aaha fm you can get the parents petitioning to all the schools to forbid teachers from hitting the students, especially the younger ones. Only after that will students stop looking at teachers as villians.

I'm sure you 've created many positive changes through your show on Aaha fm. This could be another one...one that could change the educational system in India for the better. India is the land of Mahatma Gandhi-the who showed the world that violence is not the way to solve a problem. And the one of the first lessons that students learn in school is violence (on a lower scale...).

Just a thought…
Sincerely,
Shifana
