Taare Zameen Par

Hands down, one of the best ever movies of all time. If you are planning to watch the movie, which you should be due to all the reports that are coming, stop procrastinating and book your tickets to watch the movie. Its worth missing work, missing a class. Whatever. Just go watch it.

Heard very similar reviews of the same from other places as well - with the prefix "I see people crying in the bucket loads" :)

Definitely seems to be a must-see.

I agree with you chinmayi. it was a touching story. It had a lot of depth, something that has been lacking in Bollywood.

Hi Chinmayi Akka!

I have watched this movie three times, once with my friends, once with my other friends and I dragged my parents to the theater too. It is such a good movie. It has a mix of emotions.

Heard it was a good movie. and needn't tell about Aamir Khanji's acting skills. I heard your songs from Mirukam and Inbaa, both had a different voice of yours. The song in Mirukam was having a mayya mayya feel. It shows your versatility. Even in Inbaa i liked the interludes where you and Karthik do that swaras and Brigas simulataneously. Expecting a post on these songs from you!!

I studied in a Montessori school. where we learnt the phonetic way. ABCDE was 'aa' 'bae' 'k' 'de' 'e' 'fe'. People wondered why my parents put me in such a school and said I would learn nothing. That it wasn't upto to today's standards for the competitive world.I learnt to read faster, I have a better vocabulary. But no one attributed it to the school. 3 kids were diagnosed with a dyslexic problem and were given special care. Now, they are perfectly ok and have finished college just like the rest of us. After this movie, we are having the last laugh. No one has said anything about my school's method of teaching, classes and workroom where we were encouraged to write on checked boards, use the abacus and write what we wanted.

I watched this movie on my recent trip to India. Glad that I picked this as the only movie to watch.

What I found very good in the movie is that the movie had its own pace...yet did not 'drag'. There wasn't too much histrionics and dramatics...and made the point very clear.

I hope that this movie will highlight some of the related issues such as ADD, OCD etc. Most of the time these are co-morbid conditions (as a psychology student, u must be knowing). It is an 'issue' but not disability...one can learn to use these to our advantage and that is what the movie also shows clearly.
