Working with Director Kannan for the second time after Jeyamkondaan. I loved Jab We Met. And I loved being the voice of Tammanah. While listening to the pilot track I thought she is near perfect in her speaking and pronounciation of Tamil.
I caught a special show this evening and though I have said this before, whenever I hear a song or a scene that I have dubbed for play out on the screen, I am as excited and happy as I was the first ever time.
Please catch the movie in a theater near you when you can :)

saw the movie yest.i guess tis is ur best dubbing work from wt i hav heard.congrats :).ur voice suited her superbly.it took the performance a few notches higher.i esp loved the "na theni kara ponnu seeviduven ". it was awesome :).
hi chinmayee....
saw kanden kaadhalai's trailer n was bowled over by ur dubbing....even before u posted dis,i found out tat its ur voice....best wishes....
hi chin....
everyone says Tamannah was so expressive in Jab We Met tamil version but now only i came to know that you are the one behind her... its yr impressive speech made her so... hats off to you chinmayi... pls keep us informed when you dub for somebody like tamannah in future.. so that we can be ready to realise you on screen..
In Ayan, I enjoyed your dub for Tamannah. It was neat to the cut. In JayamKondaan, it was in it's best for Lekha Washington, with a tinge of boldness and bluntness. Even I am very much excited to catch the movie for 2 things, One is Tamannah's pranks and how well your voice jells to a prankish girl. I relate your voice more of a bold and blunt one, but I think this one would have been a challenge for you too!!!
I shall update after watching the movie!
Hey, i remember you telling about the review in rediff. Do you have the link. Would like to read it.
hi..
your voice for tamannah got perfectly match..
keep rocking in ur work..
i'm ur fan..
What is a pilot track?
Will surely watch it..
Saw the movie in theatre.
I didn't even think, who gave voice (Heard the voice of Anuradha Sriram for Kiran in Anbe Sivam. Voice and video will be very different). Your voice was perfectly fitting Tammanna.

Chinmayi, I am yet to watch the movie but read in one of the reviews that u have done a great job and ur voice suitted tammanah very well. Congraz :-)
Hey I must say this.. ur Voice for Tamannah actually played a big role in that movie . whenever i see Tamannah i See u in her place. Great Job.. very expressive
i can't watch the movie for now, semester exams on its way, But I found that it was ur voice in the trailer...
"Intha ulagathiley ennakku pudicha ponnu yaaru theriyuma? Naan thaan. I love myself!" who else could have pulled it off with ease!
Your voice best suited for Tanisha and Neetu Chandra. Since I knew the voice of Lekha already... It sounded like someone else was dubbing. You were really subtle with your voice in Jeyamkondaan. Looking forward to your voice for Tammanah. Heard from my friend that you had done a great job!
Hey Chinmayi
Your voice was good and the lip sync was perfect. But one thing I was looking forward to was a difference in your voice. You are known for variety even in your songs. Your Deivam thanda poove is so different from Mayya Mayya which is again different from Sahana Saral which is again different from Oyyaiyee - I initially thought they were sung by different persons. And your dubbing career - your voice was so different in all the movies but this reminded me of your voice for Bhumika in Sillunu oru kandhal - is it because of the way you say Gautham? But I loved the movie !
Hey Chinmayi.
Hope you are doing good...
I happened to watch Kanden.. yesterday and i could able to identify your voice being dubbed for tamanah... not sure about your previous dubbing experience, but in this movie, you showed all sorts of expressions with your voice... Its been great to find you becoming a silent raiser in the voice community(singing n RJ n now into dubbing). Good Luck

Hi Chinmayi,
Great to know that you are the voice of Tamannah. Your posts are great. I have been following your blog for a long time now. Your multifaceted personality just amazes me.. I used to listen to the morning show aired on Aahaa FM when I was in India. Miss that.
You have inspired me in many ways.Just not able to list them now. Thanks for the nice posts. Keep entertaining.. All the best for your career.
hi akka... m divya here... i heard ur voice... it's so nice... i mean its so original n unique :D wish u all d best in future n do more gd gd songs! will love u always! bye!
Dear Ms. Chinmayi,
Let your dubbing journey continue ... like Mr.Surender for mohan , Deepa Venkat for Simran ,Saveetha for other artists.
A fan of yours & Tamannah

Hi Chinmayi
I had seen KK last Saturday. It was awesome just because of u had given life to the character of Tamannah. Actually I think JWM concentrates on the Female lead as it is one of the best bubbly characters I have ever had seen[Other one being Hasini of Bommarillu]. So I know for KK, voice of the heroine is very important & I was eagerly waiting who wud be dubbing for Tamannah. When I read the news that u r the voice of Tamannah in newspapers, I decided to see the movie for sure. Bcoz i liked ur voice in Vaaranam Ayiram & Dhaam Dhoom especially.
All the best for ur career. All the best for the film 'Siddhu' to be hit.
I have one doubt for long time. What is Music? Is it the tunes of the composers or the voice of singers U call Music?
I just guess that any form of sound is Music unless it soothes the listener's ears.
Plz clarify.....
While praise is soothing to the ears, frank criticism cures the Heart!
Hi Chinmayi,
Really nice to know that you were the voice for Tamannah. Good modulation in voice actually. Be it singing or dubbing, you are just great in giving varios modulations. You are just great.
Hi Chin
i saw KK y'day...your voice is pakka for Tamannah.
and i really enjoyed the slangs...like 'dhoda..." etc.,
[to be true...i was trying to wipe ur face coming in front when i heard the typical nasal laughings :D :D]
May be in future it may be permanent for Tamannah to have ur voice. (like SPB for Kamalhassan).
Shud watch the movie again.
hi chinnu!! wht abt my comments???
Saw Kandaen Kaadhalai today... I should say you have spoken a lot ;).
BTW pronounciation should be 'pronunciation'.
Got a chance to watch the movie today.Very nice one. There was a perfect sync between your voice and her expressions.
Wow, What a sync between u and Tamannah. You became her! I believe she will choose ur voice for her future movies. No prediction, it is a fact!
Dear Ms.Chinmayi,
One more thing i am unable to understand that Why artists like you ( Singer cum dubbing artists )are not given a chance to sing aleast one song in the films for which they have given their voice for the main hero / Main actress .
Example: This flim KANDAEN KAADHALAI.
Pls.give your comments on this to readers & listeners.
Regards

Hi Chinmaiyi
Your voice was just too great, i watched the movie 2nd time to just hear u...great going...
//I thought she is near perfect in her speaking and pronounciation of Tamil.
//
You are right! I have thought the same too. I am glad you lent your voice to someone who is sincere in what she is doing!
Otherwise, wouldn't it be frustrating to dub for someone who just chewed a bubblegum during the shots like PammalK sambandham ;-)
I watched the movie just a day ago. Your voice played an important role in bringing Tamana's acting particularly in the second part ofthe movie. Congrats
An hour past I came from theatre watching this movie.
I was curious to hear d voice with the concious that you have dubbed.
You had more scope than ever before as i felt.
This combo is realistic and too cute.
Gr8 Chinmayi. Have been following your blog for a verrrry long time though have not published any of my comments till now.
U r too good in whatever you do. Love all ur songs and your dubbing was also excellent.
I didn't know that you had dubbed for Tamannah but was able to recognize your voice while watching the movie. Wonderful work !
Hi Chinmaaiyi,
U did an excellent job in K.K.I really liked ur voice.ur voice is a big plus for the movie.Good Luck!
Hi Chinmayi
U spelt the word Pronunciation wrong in this entry :(
JAY
Ma'am was it you who dubbed for Tamannah in Ayan and Aanandha Thaandavam, and Samantha in Baana Kaathadi and Rupa Manjari in Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru...I knew it was you who dubbed for Tamannah in Kanden Kadhalai and Suraa but I am really puzzled on the 2 former movies, Ayan and Aanandha Thaandavam...if it was you in Ayan.....i
I really loved that modulation, you see I love both your husky voice for Samantha/Sameera and thin voice for Bhumika/Tanisha...but then, the Ayan and AT voice sounded quite vary than of that you gave to Tamannah in both Kanden Kadhalai and Sura.....esp, your sweet husky voice for Trisha in VTV and Nayan in Sri Rama Rajiyam......esp Jeyamkondaan, when you say, "andha amma andha pakkam nirpanga, aiya indha pakkam nirpaaru, oru mani neram maththi maththi.....Poorani aavaneh nambathe".....awesomeness! But pls clear my confusion on that Aanandha Thaandavam and Ayan part, as the thin voice in Sillunu Oru Kaadhal and Unnale Unnale, was kinda different than the previous two movies. Keep singing, keep enthralling......NETRU NEE IRUNDHAI, UNNODU, UN KURALODU NAANGALUM IRUNDHOM (Maariyan modified).... ENDRENDRUM IRUKKA EN VAZHTHUKAL.
With respect & adore,
Ray.
Malaysia.
Thanks for all the songs and voices!
