ENNNNNNNDHIRAAAAAAA

The voice of Hariharan ji singing that word kept echoing in my head for the past couple of days until this morning. Caught the show at 8 AM, or rather intended to. Which started late. And then there was another technical glitch, which made the lot of some 300 in that particular screen enjoy two intervals. One intended by the director and the other totally not :)
Maybe because of the screen I watched it in, the audience were a little less evocative about shouting out to thalaivar. But I guess the point is the movie kept us so darn engrossed that we forgot a lot of things. More than anything, there were no punch dialogues. And hence no chance to shout out. Could not help feeling slightly emotional when I saw Kilimanjaro on screen. Silent thanks went out to Rahman sir.
Nothing compares the experience of watching a thalaivar film on the first day. Its almost like a festival, methinks. Only that eppo varum epdi varum nu sollavae mudiyaadhu!
Right after the film I went into NDTV for their Endhiran special, wherein they interviewed several technicians that were part of the project. Mr Sanjay Pinto was kind enough to spend some time and had a great time catching up with him. It was amazing to learn how the media helps maintain peace and calm in a country. For all the media bashing that I have seen and heard, there is a lot more than meets the eye.
As or Endhiran, Whattttte film is all I will and can say. Friends of mine have caught 3 shows of it already at various theatres. Have fun. Its truly a spectacle and complete paisa vasool.

From Singapore:). The whole theatre, Golden Village was so vibrant! We wer a bunch of students, screaming thalaiva, whistling and almost dancing to all numbers. Kadhal Anukal was almost like a mantra, and not to mention Kilimanjaro was unmistakably grand! Almost felt like being back home. The nostalgia, and the festive feeling a Rajni film brings - Priceless! Congrats to you, for being part of the team. My gang loved the song:-)

I can only tell you what it feels like" Coz' true to Thalaivar's statement it was an experience of my lifetime! And btw you rocked the song as always!!

About Endhiran - at the outset this NOT a movie for a hardcore Rajini fan...no mannerisms, no punch dialouges and total absence of typical Rajini's slapstick comedy. But having said this, the last 30 minutes is a powerpacked performance from our Thalaivar ! His body language, his less-dialouge-more-action performance is mind blowing and unparalleled. Needless to mention the graphics and a fitting logical finish. A must watch for a good conceived story, sci-fi dialouges and for the efforts of Shankar.

It is an out-and-out Shankar's movie with our Thalaivar purely following his instructions.

Chinmayi: About Kilimanjaro. This is the best picturised song. A typical Shankar's picturisation. However, surprisingly the other songs doesn't have Shankar's stamp in it. Perhaps Shankar did not have time to focus on songs and spent the time on script, sci-fi ground work like graphics et al.

Your voice was fantastic and voice modulations were wonderful.

Especially when you sang the following lines !

Malaipaambu pola vandhu maankuttuya pudiya
sukku mulagu thatti enna
soup vechu kudiya

(Aiswarya's dance movements were quite stunning indeed)

This song is my 2.5 years old daughter's favourite too !

You are indeed a legend in the making !

Kudos Chinmayi.

Through the kindness of theatre managers, I was able to get enough tickets to watch the opening night show with my friends and family. What a movie - Thalaivar has reached new heights with his acting. And - simply superb - need I say anything about your voice in Kili-manjora?

Dear Ms Chinmayi,

You have sang for Aishwarya rai earlier also. But, Kilimanjaro song, really fantastic when we listen that song and watch on screen. That also with Thalaivar? O.... Great. You have sung that song so well.

Ofcourse, as you said, Thalaivar padam first day first show paakkara thrille thanidhaan. After living in Jakarta for the past 15 years, i really feel that "I MISS CHENNAI" whenever Thalaivar film released. Thats the magic of our Super star Rajinikanth.

Songs are really rocking i really do not know how many of them would have noticed the classical touch in
Arima Arima
Kilimanjaro
Kadhal Anukkal.
As a package the movie in Singapore was blocked in most of the theatres, the moment counter got opened...
But onething is sure this would not have been made possible without four Phenomenon, ARR, Shankar ,Rajni and SUN TV...

Hi Chinmayee

I haven't seen the movie Enthiran yet; however, heard your song Kilimanjaro, very nice. Perhaps would appreciate it even better on the screen with Shankar's magic.
By the way, did you see 'Hariyudan Naan' on Jaya TV yesterday, when a participant (Lakshmi?) sang the song 'Andha Sivagami Maganudan', orginally composed by Music Director Govardhan. It was a mind-blowing experience. What a composition, lyrics and sweet Susila's voice! Can't even describe the heavenly feeling that I had on hearing this wonderful piece! I really long for such sweet melodies again! As James Vasanth said, this one song is just good enough for any Music Director to rest on his laurels! Music Director Govardhan is still amongst us - wish some TV channel would bring out this genius to share his experience in composing such wonderful songs. In case you haven't heard the song yet, I urge you to take the trouble to look for it somewhere. The movie was Pattanithil Bootham, a visual treat those days, in fact, even now.
