Mom and I watched Rang de after ages of planning and going to the theatre twice and returning without tickets.
And waddddda movie. Super acting. Have never seen an actor cry for real before. Today on, me a super fan of Aamir Khan.
And the music. Super duper. No words to describe. Rahman sir is super too cool.
Something that we always knew, no use blaming India for the way it is. And one dialogue which will go down history "No country is perfect. usko perfect banana padtha hai"
People here have too much time, dont wanna do anything, just sit around and gossip. Evident in small things. When the electricity goes, the first thing that anyone will say, is to find out whether there is electricity in the next house, instead of looking for a candle and finding your own light. More than a cold blooded criminal, an idle man is the biggest hazard of any nation. Why the nation, lets talk small. An apartment complex, a street, an area.
People can actually create work, if they dont have anything to do instead of just crapping. Wonder when we will finally grow up.

The words, "Be the change" really hits you. Its all within us. What you give is what you get.
Nice little revolutionary thought and brings out the tinge of patriotism in you. Practically speaking, "evolution" cannot be forced. Every coutry has to evolve. Some are ahead of us and some not. Some countries evolved 50 years before us and they are what they are today. May be our evolution started late. May be there are more hinderances to our evolution like population, corruption, cultural variety etc. One day we will grow up. We may not be there in that era to witness.
The Indian indifference stems from the Hindu religion, with particular reference to the cast system. Perhaps you get the picture? I can't explain in detail on a comment. May be you could read Ronald Segal's 'Crisis of India'.
seriously, you cannot attribute everything to the caste system. it is outmoded and of little relevance to most people outside of politics.
i loved the film very much..my fav dialogues are :
zindagi jeene ke do tarike hothe hai..., the one which Aamir says in the end..
and even the one which he tells su in the car..
"Gate ke is taraf hum Life ko nachaatha hai..aur us taraf life humko nachaathi hai..acche se acche DJs pisgaye is khel mein.."
The film had a fantastic concept of narration...

You should have booked the tickets earlier. where did u watch the movie btw? we can also book tickets online, and in fact choose our seats even, in satyam cinemas. check out thecinema.in . all we need is just a credit card. do it next time :)
RDB is a wonderful movie, and i loved the transformation that happens to the guys in the movie; from 'take life as it comes' nature to 'be the change' attitude . :)
