And that's me. Someone just reminded me to Blog about it.
It was good fun dubbing. All the time the studio was a riot, with the Assistant Directors and the Sound Engineers. Most of the time I was ROTFL. You get to hear the pilot track where the actors speak a language they don't know. And naturally since they don't know the language, there are pauses and punctuations, where there should not be. And its damn cute listening to someone who doesn't know your language. And putting in their all to speak, remember lines and emote at the same time.
Dubbing can be a very hilarious experience. And strenuous as well.
So after Sillunu oru Kadhal, its Unnale Unnale. And people say there is no similarity in the voice for Bhoomika and Tanisha. So far so good!
What next? As usual, I don't know.

I repeat myself.. you were very good as Tanisha's voice.. hats off to Jeeva for the right voice casting. btw, who was Vinay's voice ?
Dear Chinmayi,
I have been reading your blog for a long time now and this is my first comment.
I first saw you as a name in one of A R Rahman's albums, then saw you as a host on Vijay TV and finally seeing you as a fellow blogger! :)
And now you put up a post saying you are also a dubbing artiste. I did watch "Sillunu Oru Kadhal" and if you want (and have the time) to read my review about it, please click here, but I didn't realise that you were Bhumika's voice though I admit I watched her with all interest I probably didn't listen to her with the same interest! ;)
You seem to be a multi-faceted person who is handling everything with apparent ease. That's a rare skill to have actually! (No, not the multi-faceted part, the handling-wtih-ease part!)
And I watch AirTel Super Singer Junior regularly and I think you do an amazing job as an anchor. Caring for the cute contestants, respecting their parents and finally striking the right relationship with the judges! I am sure you had never thought there were so many dimensions to it because it comes naturally to you! Keep going! We are all watching! :)

Hi Chimayi
Well,I was looking for Nikhil Mathew(the Airtel Super Singer)'s new songs...
The search led to ur blog...
Hey, you know something, your Blog reads -What to Name it.
My blog reads as 'What is in a name'.
You do a good job as an anchor. Keep the good work going...
Hey chinamayi...
I watched this movie Unnale Unnale and from the very scene Tanisha blurts out words and you speak out i immediately figured out it was u.... and even boasted to my cousin abt it who was sitting by my side.
Honestly speaking i started keenly noticing your voice only after i started reading your blogs. however this the first time i'm replying.
esp the way u spell GOTAM (surya's name) is very different.
Keep blogging. gud luck!
good to know that you dubbed tanisha...
very diff from the one i hear from super singer...
hats off...
Hello Chinmayi..
Great to see you in the BLOG. I see that u sang the song Oru deivam..from Kannathil..I think that is one of the most difficult song to sing..I used to tell to my friends...Did u feel so?..or Is it easy if u know carnatic music, ragas and stuff?...
Please let me know..
Thanks and Regs,
Shan
To put Blogeswari's mind at peace, the person who dubbed for vinay in UU is ... Socretes. Dont know who he is!!
Hi chinmaye!
I'm search through blog regarding my businees, btw i find your blog and i supposed close but i catch with photo i realize its you! I'm pretty happy to find your blog.
Anyway i hope i'll here frequently..Yesterday I've seen your pro with Chitra madam in Vijay TV..I seen only when Chitra MAM sings her Master Piece....
Lastly,
Is it really Chinmayi's blog?
Best Wishes,
Sakthi
Thanks eskay. Socrates had done a decent job for UU.. unlike the shekars and ravis and the same few voices that dub for 10 people again and again..
Hi... I saw the movie 2 dayz b4 , and I heard your voice deeply , can't even think it was yours except few moments. Your voice does really fits for Tanisha, she should be proud of you. I think her character is a bit similar to your's in real life... keep blogging/rocking ...
P.S. : you look totally diff in this week's supe singe...
Surprised to know that u do dubbing also ...!!!!!!!
Great..!!!!
Any very fast genre song of yours in pipeline..??
Just saw Unnale Unnale, guessed Tanisha's voice must be yours. Even though Tanisha didn't speak her lines out well onscreen, the appropriate dubbing eliminated this drawback.
Good luck dubbing.....
