Voice of Sameera Reddy in Asal

I know I am late, but as is the self explanatory heading, I have dubbed for Sameera Reddy in Asal. I happened to meet her at the Vinnai Thaandi audio launch. She was kind enough to mention then that she liked my dubbing for her in Vaaranam Aayiram. She is such a down to earth person and has no airs about her and she is more of a stunner in real life.
This, of course, is the second time I am working with Saran sir. The first being Modhi Vilayadu. During one of those sessions I also got to know Mr Yuhi Sethu. I have never had the opportunity to be formally introduced to him and speak to him. I had a great conversation with him over lunch on several things, philosophy included. Unfortunately I did not get to meet Mr Ajith during these sessions. Really admire him, more so after his forthright speech at the FEFSI event yesterday.
After I had dubbed for the movie Prabhu sir happened to suggest some changes and I heard he told the engineer at the studio that he would visit the dubbing studio and time it to when I went. I thought that was extremely kind of a man of his stature to say that. However, I met him earlier at another do and introduced myself. He was super friendly and I really did not expect him to be so affable.
Am yet to catch the movie, hope to do so this week. If and when you watch the movie, please be kind enough to watch it at the theatres. And do also let me know what you thought. TIA.

Ajit did a fantastic job here. Finally someone who has the guts to speak out. I never thought it would be Ajit who would do it...was pleasantly surprised.

Finally I have a S.I. Hero whom I admire for guts.

Yuhi Sethu - Great guy. I want to watch Asal just to see his acting.

Good to know that you dubbed for Samira. I'll check it out.

Hi Chinmayi,

I am fan of your voice. I saw the movie yesterday in Bangalore(Ofcourse in Theatre). Your voice in ASAL to Sameera is simply fantastic. And I like the same too in Vaaranam Aayiram and Sillunu Oru Kaathal.

And I would like to tell a special dialogue which I like from Silunu Oru Kadhal.."Bayanthutala...Nee Avana Paathu bayanthutalaa" What a voice and happiness in the voice. Hats Off.Keep Going! All the Best!

Watched 'Asal' last Saturday.. Your voice suits well to Sameera... My personal opinion, overall dialogues were not so impressive as compared with other Charan movies... Though we feel the presence of Sameera throughout the movie, Sameer did not have much to do with emotional or expressive dialogues... hence you got less scope...
However, Good start for you.. All the best :)

Hi Chinmayi,

It is good to watch in theaters. But not everybody gets that opportunity. Here in US only top cities get tamil movies released. So, for ppl like us rely only on internet. Piracy can only be avoided by making it available for people.

Cheers,
Jai

Hi Chinmayi

Yet to watch the movie Asal.. but really loved your voice in SOK, Varanam ayiram and also in Unnale Unnale.. (esp the conversation between Vinay and Tanisha)

Waiting for the release date for Vinnaithandi in the US.

I always have this question.. while dubbing how you guys are bringing up the emotion - be it a romantic dialogue or a sentiment scene.. kudos to you guys..

I dont know why they dont introduce an award category for Dubbing artists in Filmfare.
