Now the next drool-worthy, dream come true... ! For me that is..

Have been using the Sony Ericsson P900 for almost a year now and have been happy, despite people warning me not to go in for this one as it is not as stable as Nokia.

It was tough for me to make the changeover.. to Sony. Thing is a friend of ours got us the phone from Germany and when it developed some problems, and luckily for me, we went to Switzerland at that time. And when we told the dealers about the problems, they got it replaced.. How cool is that!!!

This phone I have fallen in love with is the P990i Smarphone, WiFi enabled,3G Modem, better camera (thats the one thing that I dont like about the P900) at 2 Megapixels, auto zoom and what not, Symbain OS 9.1, handwriting recog, FM Radio, Full internet browser.. its WOW

Now what do I need? It just needs to come sailing into my hands.. hee hee...

Its in the 'coming soon' mode ... jut gotta see how soon it comes to me :D

Is 900i a more advanced version of

I got a look and feel of W800i which looks similar to 900i.. Wow..
what a phone it is!!!!

Clarity of sound is too good. We
dont need a seperate MP3 player.

I hope Sony would come up with a
much more improved one in the i series next time..

Sony Ericsson 9xx series models are more like PDA-cum-mobiles (with a touchscreen) whereas all other SE mobile phones are just mobile phones with or without multimedia capabilities.

P990i is a successor to P910i. Feature set does make it really tempting. Nokia is yet (but I am sort of waiting for it :) ) to come out with a more compact looking PDA-cum-mobile. I dont like the looks of 9300/9500 (especially when its closed) and its bit long, but thats my personal opinion! I own a Nokia 6230 now! BTW, outdoor pictures taken using SE K750i are really great (for a mobile phone camera), so I have equal or better expectations from 2MP camera on P990i.

Anyway, here's a comparison of features between Nokia 9300 and SE 990 (nokia screen is not touchscreen!)

Arvind, I dont think she has got the P990i yet.

Here's a short description of features of P990i.

Chinmayi, surprising to know that P990i has caught your attention so soon (the release was announced just one or two days back). Its worth it though. Do you try to consciously keep yourself updated with the gadget things?

oh ok. There are a lots of mobile based websites...some give detailed reviews (along with sample photographs taken by mobile camera) aswell. The ones that I go through for detailed reviews are http://www.mobile-review.com/review-en.shtml and http://www.gsmarena.com

Other notable ones are http://www.phoneyworld.com/, http://www.mobile9.com/, http://www.mobiledia.com/index.html & http://www.infosyncworld.com/

What happened to your recent attraction towards O2 XDA Exec? Is it already out of your wish list? :)

BTW, one small addition to my previous post, SE P8xx series aswell are PDA-cum-mobiles. I guess its safe to say SE Pxxx series as PCM's (my abreviation list is increasing :) )

So, did you get the p990i? umm, see i want to get it too, and I was looking for comments of people who have actually used it. I was browsing through googling it and your page poped up. Hoping you'd give a detailed review or just a comment on it. Thanks, was it worth it?
people are keeping on saying that its slow. Is that true?
