hi,
heard your songs on Doordarshan! you are interested in German as well if I'm not wrong. your profile says you are a musician\psychologist\linguist! cool! I happen to be a first time vistor and a new member of the blogosphere! your posts on music are a bit diffcult to follow(I'm supposed to be interested in classical music but what I know of it you can fit on a pinhead), I have been posting a series on the ramayana in a blog exclusively dedicated to it. www.srirangapuravihara.blogspot.com kindly check it out and also my regular blog is www.dwaarakavaasin.blogspot.com
Awww.... but anyways, we can either look at the glass and say tis half-empty, or we can say it is half-full. depends which way we look at it.. point here is that take the positives. Have fun kiddo and good luck for the future!
Hey, It is great to see ya blog..would love to hear ya blog more abt the recording sessions and all the wonderful ppl in the music industry... great singing in KM. BTW, did u sing in ARRs' Ah Aah??
Hey...aren't you the one who sang Yenna idhu yenna idhu Yenna sollvadhu? in the film in which Madhavan acted? If you are the one, I have to tell you that, it's one of my favourite songs. Very beautifully sung :)
Cool Jimmy.. 50 secs of fame.. or to put it exactly... 54 secs.. ARR always rocks in Hindi.. of all his other-than-tamil ventures, my fav is Bombay dreams.. got all his collection... hav to wait till my frs in India get their hands on Mangal Pandey songs..
Robbie: Definitely not tough..its great that I got at least that much.. its difficult for a south indian to cross over isnt it? MysticYogi: thanks :) Jegathpriyan: Nope I havent sung in A Aah or God Father. Amit D: Thanks :) Nishanth: That is Shreya Ghoshal Yaaro: I definitely care dude. And thanks :) Truman: I shall set it right Twin G: Godmother??? slightly llost. referring to what? Ganesh: will check out Shobha: Yup thats me!! Magnus: Thanks dude!
Chinmayi: This south indian north indian divide is quite disgusting, I feel that talented people should get an opportunity irrespective of what region they are from. Its a pity that we still have that divide in India. We welcome people like Udit Narayan to sing down south and he successfully manages to kill tamil songs. Dont people often say that music doesnt have language barriers. Hope that it comes true. Anyway, glad that you are happy with what you did and consider it an achievement. Its all in the mind anyway!
Sriram: thanks a lot !! :) Robbie: Pronunciation is the ke dude.. you have to get all the Dh, Bh, Ph, Bha, right..thats the point. But then everything aside, I love Mr. Udit Narayan's way of singing.. I wish I could imbibe some of it. The way he pumps happiness, naughtiness, and a lot of other happy feel into the songs.. :)And yes.. language is a divide sometimes.. at least in vocal music.. people at Karaikkal started cheering only when they heard 'Vennilave' even though they knew 'Chanda re' is the Hindi version of Vennilave.! JegathP: welcome:)
