Help someone see light.....

I went to sing for yet another inaguration of a State of the Art Facility at Rajan Eye Care.

While there, I saw there was a short movie on the ype of work they had done, their visits to rural areas, free surgeries, screenings, camps... My God..One super couple and they are really service minded.

This post is to request for donations through this Blog. This is a request to whoever is reading this to donate Rs. 2500/- towards a Cataract Surgery or Rs. 5000/- towards a Corneal Implant.

Donations are exempt from tax under Section 80 G and the cheques/drafts can be made favouring Chennai Vision Charitable Trust. Once you decide to donate, you can choose a date that you want, say a birthday or an anniversary, that you want a surgery to be performed, and specify the same to them.

Leave a comment, or send me a mail for more info.

Mom and I decided to do all that we can to Rajan Eye Care.

And this is also our way of saying thanks to both Rajan uncle and Sujatha aunty, and doing maybe what we can for a worthwhile cause.

Help bring light to someone's life..

Yes Chinmayi, the dedication that these kind of people show are a geniune source of inspiration for us.

On similar lines, I would like to know if there are any "good" institutions that works towards upbringing of under priveleged kids. For quite sometime I have been thinking of helping out these kids in the form of donations, but somehow not happening. I guess this is a strong reminder for me to pitch in, so please let me know if you (or anyone reading this) know of any.

Cheers,

Gopal.

Chins,
I am happy that you are doing your bit for improving lives of people. It is important for celebrities like you to set an example for your fans to follow. Like peter parkers uncle tells him "with great power comes great responsibility" ( I hope spiderman forgives me for this). I would strongly recommend that you start an organization of sorts for helping the downtrodden. I would certainly do my bit to advertise your cause in my blogsite and I am sure many others would. I would strongly recommend that Mr.Rajan and Mrs.Sujatha advertise about their cause on the net, I am sure they will get a lot of help from people.

Robbie...they already advertise.. its there in their Website, www.rajaneyecare.com
Check that out, but though it tells you how much to donate, it doesnt specify that there will be a day in which a surgery will be carried out in your name. Like I said it could be any day you choose.

hey chins,
just checked out the link you gave me. Pretty impressive indeed, I wish more and more people come up with such innovative ideas. I just became a member of CRY america and I spoke to the representative of the DC action group today and I plan to be actively involved in their activities. I guess being proactive and taking initiative is the least one can do. Good work chins...
adios

Hi,

I am visiting ur blog for the first time and I am much impressed. I came through "Filter Coffee"...

I have been to Rajan Eye care many times for my Mom and friends eye treatment. They provide an excellent Service and both of them are down to earth people.

Happy to see u involved in all this.

Here I would like to introduce the organisation that we have among our IT friends. U can visit the site.

Curretly I am in Singapore and I can say it with proud that the Eye hospital resource in Chennai are in international standards.
