Bloopers on Airtel Super Singer Junior

I had looked forward to watching them, because more than the out-takes, the way it is edited and the 'counter' dialogues are what makes it funny in my opinion.
In response to mails and the comments on other posts, the voice in the background belonged to Mr Rajkumar, one of the producers in Vijay TV. The voice in the children-s episode belonged to Mr Nelson, another producer. Though they are technically called producers, they are the ones who direct the parents, participants, judges, special guests and finally me. They are also the ones who go to the cities where the action happens days before the event finally takes place, especially with regard to regionals.
And thereafter, visiting the kid's houses in their respective cities, getting their friends and family to speak, and taking care of editing, handling the action while it happens and creative inputs as well. I shall update this post with the pictures shortly to name the brains behind the show.
And more than last time, the out-takes this time were better, probably because I had already worked with this team and camaraderie was better.
I have to shoot 2 more episodes and with that, we will wrap up Airtel Super Singer Junior.

Too good! ROFL!

Good guts to put all the bloopers. It was down to earth. I enjoyed the bloopers more than the show itself!
Way to go chinmayi, good luck!

Hi Chinmayee...it was fun watching the special episode.
BTW, after looking at the promos for Jodi No-1 - Part 2, i am sure that Airtel Super Singer will also be done again. hoping to see talents like Nikil, Archana, Soumya enthralling the audience.

Chinmayi, actually I missed watching all but a few episodes of ASSJ...blame it on my work hours and the place where I live. I had actually wanted to watch the semifinal and Finals at least! but fate had it the other way. To my surprise and shock, I happened to see the Bloopers! I had been to my aunts place for the weekend. I just....just.. had a great time watching you stumble, scratching your head, repeating the notes!... It was really fun watching yours, the judges and the Kids.

Are they gonna show more? If so, pls. check if you can get a crack of that from your producers and put it on google videos or you tube! People like me could watch it!

The lil girl speaking about how the judges were looking at each other and how she got a Hi- B.P was hilarious :) Just wondering, may be that was a well planned interview?

Chinmayee's bloopers were fantastic .. great episode!

Chinma,

As an avid fan (nay, afficianado) of music, I've been reading your blog for a few months now but never got the opportunity to leave any comments. Now's the time! I simply loved ASSJ. It was mind-blowing. Needless to say, you did a Superb job of anchoring the show. :) My Fridays and Saturdays were the best part of the week only because of ASSJ (I rarely watch TV, btw). I am almost in tears that the it's come to an end. :( I simply loved the bloopers and laughed like nobody's business when watching it. 'am hoping that I get to see it again sometime.

Let me also add here that you've done a fantastic job in the song Sahaana (along with Udit). That song is soooooooo gooooood!! :)

I was tagged a few days ago and one of the five people I am passing it on to is you! :) Hope you take the tag and pass it on....

Continue to rock the world of music and blogging....it is wonderful to read your experiences and, of course, have access to inside information from the world of music! ;)

Warm Regards
Nimmy

chinmayi,
you were superb in airtel super singer. be it your stage presence, diction, flow etc. it was alround great. But i somehow am not a great fan of the program because of the pressure mounted and hype created with the kids. i felt it ended up making caricatures and clowns out of innocent kids.no doubt most of the kids were immensely talented and the program was exciting but somewhere down the line i felt the program robbed the innocence element and created gladiators out of kids.
As for you, keep doing the great work, great songs, great concerts. In addition to your superb hits, you have now endeared yourself more to the tamil public after airtel super singer.

Hi! Chinmayi,

I got to watch the bloopers at the repeat telecast on Sunday. They were really good.

At first, I need to appreicate the guts to put that. Secondly, it was really really interesting than the ASSJ it self.

Keep going. All the very best.

This is nothing related to ASSJ, but I heard you singing for a title song of a serial in sun Tv [v v v long back I was in my school then, now I'm 24] where the lead role was by Mounica. Tht's the day I loved your voice and was waiting to see the singers name the next day. I saw your name the next day and started telling ur name to ppl whoever asks me who's ur fav singer. Many dind't knw u then. I left the country for my higher studies n when I returned I was happy and surprised to see you in limelight. I even remember recording tht title song in a cassette n used to listen to tht song everyday atleast once. Do you remember that song? Is that possible for me to get that song somwhr in shops in India? You are doing a gr8 job-Sahana is wonderful!!!!!!!! Keep Going. All the v best.

HI,

RE: AIRTEL SUPPER SINGER JUNIOR – VIJAY TV

This is Rajani from Toronto, Canada. You had the wonderful program Airtel SSJ. Everything went well except one thing at the end. Vignesh should have got an award and some money for entertaining singer or some other category. I have no idea why you gave a buddies award for Saisharn and his mother. It should be only for kids. Parents shouldn't be getting any award there. I believe some influence must be there to give that money for them. In other word runner up didn't get any money, but third one got some money. IT IS NOT FAIR. I thought, you were doing some wonderful job. At the end it was not nice to treat Vignesh like that. Kirishnamoorthy deserve to get his title and the money. His father is very supportive, however he was little too much of putting his weight on his son. Chimai have done an amazing job. I won't forget Usha Uthap. She is a great lady with great heart. I enjoyed watching Sriram's judgement. Thanks to Vijay TV for giving such a talented modern show. Please be fair with kids. Please DO SOMETHING FOR VIGNESH.
Rajani.
