That Ferrari is going to start retailing in India.. This is my dream car.. and yeah I know the Ferrari or most super cars are not Indian-Roads friendly, blind spots and all that.. but *sigh* can't shake this mega attachment I have towards this car.. :)

Drivin a Ferrari in India seems so wrong for some reason.
But Ferrari's are pretty things when it comes to cars.

It will take sometime to drive Ferari here. Btw, hope your dream comes true, asap.

It is not about driving a fast car, its about driving a nice car. a lamborghini Diablo is definately faster then a ferrari but the point is passion and the feel of being in the car.
the closest i have come is to sit in it in a car show, and closest i have come to driving it was in Need For Speed game.
i know i am not fit to comment but its my dream too. i can understand.

if speed was the concern get a jet plane instead...

yes Ferrari is coming to India... and Tata has serious plans of marketing them over here.. Fiat Palio which is my favourite car in the country is actually serviced and maintained by Tata motors.... also Grand Punto is expected some time next year..... and Fiat obviously is the sister concern of Ferrari... and we are also expecting a F1 race track in the near future.........

Draskun: easier to call you by that name. i love making impossible dreams come true and by the way, step on the accelerator too hard even on a maruti 800, and it will be in pieces.

Chinmayi Sripada /Chinmayee said...

tarakeshwar: fiat is not the sister concern, fiat OWNS the Ferrari :)

If you can own a Ferrari then blind spots & roads (cause you should be able to build roads that are Ferrari friendly) should be least of your concerns.

Chinmayi Sripada /Chinmayee said...

well yeah thats what the makers also say, that roads should be built for the car. How cool is that..

Should we all be a little more conscious of our energy usage? Even if you can afford it, you should be using your social status to help make the world greener - NOT the other way around. Yeah - you can take a "Ride" in a ferrari to satisfy your cravings, but to want to OWN one in when the world is struggling to meet its energy needs....somehow that does not sound right, Chinmayi.

anonymous: talking about making the world greener, its sad that you want to be anonymous, I usually care a hoot for people who can't even give an identity even if its a fake one.. tell me, do you use solar power? LPG for your car? I do.. My whole family and extended family does. I presume you use an electric charger for your mobile phone, I use a solar powered one. And have you ever car pooled? I have. Or starting with simple things, do you switch off the lights in the room as soon as leave it, do you use lights in day time, and do you leave your computer on when not necessary? Do you use your car when you can walk? I actually walk to the nearest store when I need something. I don't have to. Are the bulbs in your house CFC? After all that hoo haa about changing the bulbs. The first day I spoke on radio about CFC bulbs, we changed them. So I am probably conserving energy for both you and me. And you should know, the world is NOT struggling, there is enough and more energy. It helps to increase the cost and go into someone's pocket. The point is contribution to the greenhouse gases. By the time I actually do own it, ferrari will probably run on alternative fuel. Before you ask me to do things right please question yourself to see how YOU have made a difference to the world.

chinamyi.. u got to check out the meaning of the term sister concern... whenever u add a new range of products to ur portfolio and u do a product diversification ... then the new branch becomes a sister.. even a small kid knows that Ferrari is owned by Fiat and Fiat entered racing market by buying Ferrari in year 1969.... and u got to be kidding me when u say that they are not sister concerns and 't really blows the thing of me when u say that to n all time FERRARI, FIAT and SCHUMI fan!

Chinmayi Sripada /Chinmayee said...

ok tarak here goes... correct me if I am wrong. Sister concern is a term applied when the owner/management of a company start a new company.. not buy it. in case of ferrari and fiat, there is no sharing of management personnel, ferrari is owned by fiat but fiat has no say in the design of the cars.. correct? so how does it make it a sis concern?
