New Songs

I happen to have sung more than a score of songs for Srikanth Deva recently and as ever it has been a pleasure. Working with him usually means a lot of smiles and the general feeling of joy translates in the song as well. Also, I have recorded almost a dozen songs in Kannada recently. Of course as usual I am not sure of the names of the movies, so I guess I ll just have to watch out for the CDs.
My latest releases have been updated in my audio blog, something that has not seen nay action for quite a while now as I haven't had time to upload the songs. I finally got that done. Please give it a listen and leave your comments

TIA.

i have heard in many interviews of singers that they don't even know the name of the movie because the name could change in the end. and some times the music director would use the voice of another singer. and truth in this?

Hi,

I just heard your kannada song.Frankly speaking even though the song was good i felt that you have not given justice to that song. Especially your pronunciation's leave us much to be desired.I feel you need to improve when it comes to aspirated voices(called maahapraanas),every langauge apart from tamil uses it quite regularly. So if you desire to be a better singer try improving on that.
This is the other version of the song sung by some other singer. Please listen to it and decide yourself.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Mr Raghunath.. I am aware of the mahapraans. And I am not the type to get angry. Though I d like to explain my stance. When I was 16 I won the All India first for Ghazals from All India Radio and the award ceremony happened in Jammu. People there refused to believe that I am a southie. I am known for my pronounciation whether it be Hindi, Tamil Malayalam or German. That said, I only follow instructions. You kinda answered the question yourself, because I don't know the language, I ll only copy or repeat what has been said to me. Which is also why I ll never blame the Hindi Singers for mispronouncing the south Indian languages because someone apparently has neither the time nor the patience to make them pronounce correctly. That said, Kannada is a very easy language, I should be able to pick it up fast. Thats one thing I will say unabashedly say, I have a huge talent for picking up languages with the right accent.

When I was 16 I won the All India first for Ghazals from All India Radio and the award ceremony happened in Jammu. People there refused to believe that I am a tamilian, especially for the way I pronounced Urdu. I am known for my pronounciation whether it be Urdu, Tamil, Malayalam or German. Do you think we ll give a wrong take if we knew that we are not pronouncing properly?? That said, your language is extremely easy, I should be able to pick it up fast. Thats one thing I will say unabashedly say, I have a huge talent for picking up languages with the right accent. And P.S. I am not your regular tamilian.
