Looks like phishing to me. Did you click on some weird link about photos on your messenger that asked you to sign on to yahoo? In that case, your account has been compromised and you might lose it like a couple of my friends did. Else, you might miraculously get it back like a couple of others did. You may have to keep your fingers/toes crossed along with doing the regulars like trying repeatedly to login and contact yahoo.
Be more careful in the future with clicking links sent over IM. Even if they are from your trusted contacts, coz these phishing scams use mostly self propagating type links.

Write a mail to customer-care or web-administrator with your primary email-address to get that back.

Contact custome-care thro mail or call Yahoo in India and talk to them directly. I had the same problem in Rediff and got it rectified.
